What do you all think of the following statement:

"One shouldn't have but a few children so that they can be provided for not only what is minimally adaquate but also so they can take advantage of the full potential of life. Besides there are trust funds we will inherit that we don't want to devide up too many ways when we die so we are only going to have two children. This way there will always be enough to provide for all the children in future generations. It would be selfish of us to do otherwise. It's socially responsible because our family will never have to be dependant on charity or the state. It's environmentally responsible because there is over population anyway. It would also be unfair to all of our children to force them to have to split the pie too many ways so that only some succeed."

Living within one's means is always a good and practical idea, but this seems heavily focused upon earthly treasure that worm and rust will steal away.

I don't believe that a third child would be big deal.

Global impact of this event would be pretty much zero.

Meanwhile, heathens and Muslims are multiplying at a rate of knots, whilst "good christian people" ponder about how many children they can have and try and delay the whole natural cycle of progeneration as much as possible.

What ever happened to Divine Providence? We don't want dependency on charity or on the State, but do we want dependency on God?

I am one of six sons and we were not rich but we were very happy! My friend has 8 kids and they live very modestly but they are happy! Be fruitful and multiply!
